Acoustic Louvre Doors

Type ACL1DD, ACL1SD & ACLNSD

Acoustic Louvre Doors can be supplied single or double leaf 300mm deep. Hinges are heavy duty and run the full height of the door.

Handles and locks are to the customers specification. Prices on application. Units are complete with bird guard mesh as standard.

If the acoustic louvre door is non-active we would suggest that a non-active louvre is used as the appearance is the same but is only 150mm deep.

Finish

Acoustic louvre doors are made using galvanised mild steel but polyester powder finish to BS4800 or RAL colours or plastic coated plastisol HP200 steel.

A view of a typical acoustic louvre door has been shown. We manufacture a range of acoustic doors dependent on noise attenuation requirements. Full details of individual thicknesses of doors and their noise reduction rating are available on CAD sheets from our Head Office. A wide range of door furniture and hinging requirements are available.

It is usual with acoustic louvre doors to fit fridge-type roller locks as these help compress the seals to the edge of the leaves. Doors over 2 metres wide may require floor-mounted guidance channels due to the weight involved.

Specification & Construction

Manufactured from either HE9TF Aluminium or Galvanised Steel sheet. Fabricated and constructed in our Birmingham factory, using either mig or tig welding facilities.

Sizes

No preset sizes are enforced and all units from small gas housing access doors to full plant room double doors, up to 3 metres high, are available.

Finish

Full range of Epoxy Powder Coatings suitable for external mounting are available. These are applied as a Aluchrome pre-treatment to give a guaranteed life expectancy of 10 years for semi-gloss applications and 12 years for gloss. A full written guarantee is available on request. Other PVF2 Sytha Pulvin and anodised treatments are also available at varying costs.

Alternative Designs

Standard doors have recessed angle frames but box frames, solid panels, fire and acoustic doors are also available.
